But it was only when he took a closer look at the footage later that he noticed the subtitles of an advertisement on television in the background.
The title on the screen says: “What is the download?”
In her post, the mother saw the humorous side of the caption fail.
“My daughter’s first birthday party, made with two Woolies mudcakes,” she wrote in the group Woolies/Coles Mud Cake Hacks. “Ignore the subtitles in the ad!”
Dozens of Facebook users were just as amused by the ad’s unfortunate timing.
“The cake looks great. You may need a little Photoshop magic in the background!” one said.
Added another: “OMG the TV in the back. But I love cake!”
Said one more: “Phone quick edit, I hope you have something without the download.”
In a kind move, other mud pie fans used their skills to help cover up the unfortunate TV caption.
One blurred out the title to hide it from the image, while others added flower graphics and even changed the backgrounds to hide the words.
