A high-profile millennial couple is believed to have paid the highest price of the year in Australia’s most expensive suburb, buying a sprawling mansion with a fortune earned selling designer water.

Garrett and Stephanie Jandegian bought a two-story home in the elite Sydney suburb of Bellevue Hill that had been on the market for $27 million.

Garrett Jandegian founded the successful ‘alkaline water’ company Aqualove and owns Pharma Soul, a rapid antigen testing and PPE business, of which his wife is director of sales.

Stephanie Jandegian, who was a contestant on the reality show So You Think You Can Dance in 2008, was also the Sydney news chief for Nine’s A Current Affair.

Jandegian, who harbored ambitions to become a professional baseball or football player in the United States, was cared for by his wife after a career-ending injury.

That recovery led him to adopt natural therapies, including alkaline water, which eventually led him to found Aqualove with his business partner Ricky Herbert.

Ms Jandegian has said that Aqualove is the main source of her wealth, although Pharma Soul’s business is also believed to have prospered due to demand during the pandemic.

The country-style mansion is also noted for its immaculate garden hedges and its pond with a Greek urn.

Their lavish purchase makes them neighbors with Kyle Sandilands, though they paid far more than the radio star, who bought a six-bedroom Bellevue Hill home in June for $13.8 million.

It is the couple’s second property purchase in 2022, after they paid $5.8 million for a home in Vaucluse.

Jandegian’s most recent purchase was previously sold in 2018 to the Kontopos family by former Australian Stock Exchange chief Dominic Stevens and his wife Emma for more than $14 million.

In May, Domain said that Bellevue Hill topped the list of the 10 most expensive suburbs in Australia, with a median property price of $6.625 million.

According to recent figures from Domain, the current median home price in the suburb is $8,515,000.

The Kontopos family listed the Kambala Road house with Highland Property for $27 million.

What the Jandegians paid has not been confirmed.

Stevens bought it in 2005 for $8.7 million from dental businessman David Penn and his wife Linda, the Lowes heiress.
