2021 Volkswagen Polo recalled because rear wing could fall off

A total of 331 Volkswagen Polos are being recalled because the rear spoiler could detach while driving, posing a danger to those behind.


VolkswagenAustralia has recalled 331 examples of his Volkswagen Golf 2021 city ​​car because the rear spoiler could detach while driving, causing a potential road safety hazard for other traffic.

The list provided by Volkswagen of affected Vehicle Identification Numbers (VINs) confirms that the defect relates to the 2021 Volkswagen Polo 70TSI Trendline, 85TSI Comfortline and 85TSI Style models, leaving the Polo GTI unaffected by the recall.

The recall notice, filed with the Department of Infrastructure, says: “Due to a manufacturing issue, the roof spoiler may not have been attached properly and could become loose and detach from the vehicle.”
